Developed, managed, and implemented marketing communications and digital strategies and campaigns throughout the campus. Responsible for managing institutional image and brand in a decentralized marketing environment.

Selected Contributions:

  • Led internal department and campus teams that implemented a proactive, innovative, and comprehensive marketing, communications, and branding strategy. These were launched on multi-channel marketing channels in collaboration with the academic and administrative department's goals and budgets.

  • Collaborated with a digital agency for quarterly and special project campaigns, utilizing a dashboard for real-time engagement and measuring KPIs. Researched and wrote copy, keywords, descriptions, and titles, and provided photos, videos, and additional collateral for digital marketing campaigns.

  • Managed collateral marketing team in designing and producing materials, advertisements, and additional materials.

  • I researched, interviewed, and oversaw the higher education marketing agency RFP to rebrand Shepherd University. Project lead with the agency on deliverables, staying within budget, meeting deadlines, and communicating progress and findings with the Branding, Marketing, and Messaging committee, Executive Leadership Team, and President. Negotiated a 205% budget increase to hire an agency with the Board of Governors and Finances department.

  • I wrote the social media best practices and guidelines and the Marketing Standards Manual. Manage communications team, including a staff writer, graphic designer, webmaster, and photographer.

DxNOW, Inc. (medical device startup) — Marketing & Meeting/Exhibition Planner (2018 – 2019)

Worked with the business development team and C-level administration in planning the facilitation of exhibitions and attendance at 15 national trade shows and several global expos.

  • Tasks include contract negotiations, logistics, travel, exhibit design and production. 

  • Reviewed and updated event planning processes to streamline efficiency.

  • Reduced shipping costs by 13% in one year with a new process.

  • Managed domestic and international exhibitions with a business development team, including marketing materials, travel, shipping, and financials.

  • Worked with national sales representatives and COO to develop a content strategy for regional and international events and demonstrations through the sales funnel cycle. This was integrated into the company’s content strategy plan.

  • Implemented a sales strategy to obtain exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees. Sell trade show booths, conference sponsorships, and custom offerings a la carte. Increased exhibitor and sponsor sales with the key client by 40% from 2014-2017.

  • Created marketing strategy and campaigns, composed editorial calendars, and engaged and monitored social media integrated with diverse marketing platforms. Managed multiple concurrent campaigns, increasing digital engagement by 22% from the previous year.
